God Is The Blueprint Pt 1
God's Is The Blueprint Pt 1
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, many of us find ourselves crafting resolutions and setting goals. We envision the changes we want to make, the habits we hope to form, and the successes we aim to achieve. But how often do these well-intentioned plans fall by the wayside, leaving us frustrated and discouraged?
This year, let's approach our aspirations differently. Instead of relying solely on our own strength and wisdom, what if we turned to the ultimate blueprint for success, Jesus?
The book of Genesis offers us a powerful template for creation, growth, and purposeful living. As we delve into the first chapters of the Bible, we uncover timeless principles that can guide us toward a truly transformative year.
1. Declare Your Vision
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)
Before anything else, God spoke His vision into existence. He declared what He intended to create. Similarly, we must articulate our goals and dreams for the coming year. What do you want to create, develop, or manifest in your life? Write it down, speak it aloud, and make your intentions clear.
2. Observe and Discern
"The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." (Genesis 1:2)
God didn't immediately jump into action. He first observed the current state of things. He sent His Spirit to hover over the waters, assessing the situation. In our lives, we must take time to spiritually and naturally observe our circumstances. What needs attention? Where is there darkness or chaos? Spend time in God's presence, allowing His Spirit to give you discernment and insight.
3. Bring Light to Darkness
"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." (Genesis 1:3)
The first act of creation was bringing light into darkness. As children of God, we are called to be light in the world. When faced with challenging situations or environments, our response should not be to complain or conform to the darkness. Instead, we must shine God's light, bringing hope, positivity, and solutions.
4. Establish Boundaries
"And God separated the light from the darkness." (Genesis 1:4)
God set clear boundaries between light and darkness, creating order out of chaos. In our lives, we often need to establish healthy boundaries. This might mean saying no to certain commitments, limiting negative influences, or creating structure in our daily routines. Don't feel guilty about setting boundaries – they are essential for growth and productivity.
5. Create Systems for Growth
"And God said, 'Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.' And it was so." (Genesis 1:11)
God designed creation with built-in systems for reproduction and growth. As we plan for the new year, we should focus on creating sustainable systems that will facilitate ongoing growth and multiplication. Whether in our personal lives, careers, or ministries, we need to implement strategies that will bear fruit and replicate success.
6. Start Your Day at Night
"And there was evening and there was morning, the first day." (Genesis 1:5)
Interestingly, in the Biblical account, the day begins with evening. This teaches us the importance of preparation and rest. Start your day the night before by planning, setting out what you need, and ensuring you get proper rest. When you wake up, you'll be energized and ready to tackle the day ahead.
7. Seek Living Water
"But a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground." (Genesis 2:6)
God provided water through a mist that rose from the ground. This living water nourished the earth and sustained life. In our spiritual lives, we must continually seek the living water that only God can provide. Stay connected to His Word, pray regularly, and cultivate a deep relationship with Him. This spiritual nourishment is essential for our growth and vitality.
8. Remember Your Divine Origin
"Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature." (Genesis 2:7)
We are not mere accidents of nature. God intentionally formed us and breathed His very life into us. As you embark on your journey this year, remember your divine origin. You are created in God's image, with purpose and potential. Let this truth empower you to pursue your goals with confidence and determination.
As we step into the new year, let's commit to following God's blueprint for success. This doesn't mean our path will always be easy or that we won't face challenges. But when we align our plans with God's principles, we position ourselves for true, lasting success – success that goes beyond mere personal achievement to impact the world around us.
Remember, you are the light meant to shine in the darkness. You have the power to create, to set boundaries, to grow, and to flourish. But this power comes not from your own strength, but from the indwelling Spirit of God.
So, as you craft your resolutions and set your goals, invite God into the process. Seek His wisdom, follow His blueprint, and watch as He works in and through you to accomplish more than you could ever ask or imagine.
May this year be one of unprecedented growth, purpose, and impact as you embrace God's divine blueprint for your life. Let's step forward with faith, knowing that the One who began a good work in us is faithful to complete it.
